Afternoon Tea at Widbrook Grange

Tilly and I made the trip to Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire to celebrate Ginny the Australian Labradoodle’s Birthday with at Widbrook Grange with an adorable doggie guest list.

Widbrook Grange is an 18th century Georgian country house hotel, with dog friendly rooms; now offering dog afternoon teas, and birthday parties! 🎂

The garden was something from a dog-crazy lady’s dream… A table just for the dogs, complete with cake, balls, and treats. 🎁

We keep Tilly’s diet fairly simple, and low in vegetable content… so unfortunately it meant she wasn’t able to sample most of the goodies.. I came prepared with extra special freeze duck dried treats, which all the dogs went mad for!

Us humans tucked into finger sandwiches, scones, and delicious sweet treats. 🍰 I am so grateful to Widbrook Grange for offering a vegan afternoon tea, it’s so nice to be able to enjoy the same as everyone else. The scones were sublime!

The dogs thoroughly enjoyed a romp around the hotel grounds. Tilly mostly enjoyed sampling rabbit droppings… SIGH. 🐇 It’s definitely worth noting – there are lots of bunnies about, so if you’re visiting with a dog… beware!

Tilly, finally being appreciated as the Queen she is!

We got a chance to have a look around the hotel, and one of it’s dog friendly farmhouse rooms. Such a charming place, we would very happily stay here.

The hotel has a really lovely gift shop. I picked up a new (faux) leather card holder, and had so stop myself with some rather delightful candles! We finished up the day with a delightful stroll along the canal into Bradford on Avon… then a visit to a pet shop… the perfect afternoon!
